Food and drink views sought

5th July 2010

The Canterbury Partnership Environment Group is researching the use of locally produced, Fairtrade and organic food and drink by businesses and organisations in Canterbury district.

Food and drink is purchased by businesses and organisations for a number of reasons, for example as part of their business, for use in a staff restaurant, or for providing refreshments for staff.

Now local businesses and organisations are being asked for their help, by filling out a food and drink survey to tell the Environment Group about their use of such products. The information collected will help give an idea of the current situation, from which it is hoped to promote and encourage increased sourcing of local, Fairtrade and organic food and drink.

The survey can be completed online. All responses submitted by Friday 23 July will be entered into a free prize draw to win a Fairtrade hamper, which has been kindly donated by the Canterbury District Fairtrade Network.
